A panel of judges from the Club, along with Music Director Sarah Robinson Seeber, presided over auditions last March and selected violinist Keila Wakao from a knockout pool of high school senior musicians. At the HGC “Holiday Feast of Song” concert last December, Ms. Wakao gave a stunning rendition of Fritz Kreisler's "Recitative and Scherzo," and, with Club accompanist Jonathan Reddix, "Midnight Bells." She received her $5000 award at the concert, from Club President John Ficarelli, Music Award Chair Chuck Eisenberg, and Sarah Robinson Seeber. We wish her every success as she continues her studies at conservatory this fall, and in what is certain to be a brilliant career!
