The Highland Glee Club is a men’s chamber chorus based in Newton, Massachusetts. One of the oldest choral ensembles in the country, the Club was founded by a group of singing gentlemen in Newton Highlands in 1908. Today, the men of the Highland Glee Club preserve and honor the traditions of the past while also embracing newer genres of music. Under the leadership of Sarah Robinson Seeber, the first female Music Director in the Club’s 115-year history, the Highland Glee Club performs an eclectic mix of repertoire, from Gregorian chant and classical part-songs, to jazz standards, sea chanties, and psychedelic rock. The Highland Glee Club has withstood the test of time by constantly renewing itself; the Club comprises men from all walks of life, and fine singers of every age group, from 20s to 80s.
Men wishing to sing in the Highland Glee Club should attend an open rehearsal.
Open rehearsals are usually held on the second and third Tuesdays in
January, and first and second Tuesdays in September each year. Please check the event calendar below for upcoming open rehearsals dates and location.
